meet the band

Jaelyn Taylor Is the leader of the band as she carries on a long family tradition of performing Bluegrass Music. The 14 year old began singing at the young age of 8 years old in church and at school talent shows. She has since developed a strong love and passion for the music and performing alongside her dad and grandfather who are members of 21 South. Jaelyn has also had the privilege to perform on stage with some of the headliners in Bluegrass such as The Kody Norris Show and Carson Peters and Iron Mountain.

The "Old Guy" in the group is probably the main reason for the bands existence. N.R. Taylor is the Grandfather to Jaelyn Taylor. N.R. has played Bluegrass Music since the age of 12 when he began on banjo. N.R. has now gained the title as an accomplished Dobro player in the industry, with his latest achievement of placing first at the world famous Galax Fiddlers Convention in 2022. N.R. has passed his love of the music on to his granddaughter which he is honored to play for despite her being the youngest boss he's ever worked for.

 Zac Taylor, son of N.R. Taylor and Jaelyn's Dad can be found on Rhythm Guitar and on vocals for the Band. Zac began playing bass at the age of 5 before moving onto Guitar. As many musicians do, Zac grew up playing music in Church along beside his dad and late mother. Zac has written all of the Original music for Jaelyn Taylor and 21 South and has had the privilege of working with Johnny Williams, Bobby Starnes, Jim Price, Mike Mcpeak in the production of the Bands new 5 song EP.
